4/1/21 @ 4:45 p.m. - There was a great turnout yesterday for the Egg Hunt in Bryceville. According to Youth Librarian, Michelle Forde, approximately 53 people were in attendance. Thank you to everyone who came out to support this Library program. We hope you enjoyed it!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Contact: Nassau County Road Department 904 530-6175 e-mail: [email protected] Nassau County, Florida - On behalf of CSX, the Nassau County Road Department is issuing a "Notice of Intent to Begin Construction" on the following railroad crossings due to repairs needed – All crossings could be closed from to 3-5 days. CSX will have rock staged at the crossings for first responders if they have to get across. These dates can change, with or without notice, due to unforeseen circumstances. These closures are a temporary but a necessary inconvenience for the maintenance and safety of the crossings. A disaster, such as a derailment, could cause the crossing to be closed for several weeks. Old Dixie Highway in Callahan, FL (between Madison Land and Whitfield Road) – Completely closed April 5, 2021 to April 9, 2021- Detour US1 to Brandies Ave to Bypass Road to Old Dixie Hwy Braddock Road in Callahan, FL – April 7, 2021 to April 12, 2021 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm- One way in and out but rock will be staged at the crossing for emergency vehicles, if needed. Citizens will need to move their vehicles to other side of tracks prior to 8:00 am, per their prior notification provided Dyal Road in Callahan, FL (between Braddock Road and Beaner Lane) – Completely closed April 12, 2021 to April 16, 2021 – US1 to Henry Smith Road to Old Dixie Hwy to Dyal Road For additional information, please contact Erika L. Elmore at Southern Commercial Development 229-262-4394. 4/1/21 @ 8:40 a.m. - Youth Librarian, Michelle Forde, did a great job decorating the children's room at the Fernandina Beach Library Branch.
