Sabrina Robertson County Manager's Office ![]() 4/19/17 @ 10:00 a.m. - Nassau County Animal Services and the Nassau Humane Society have partnered to bring you the Adopt-A-Palooza Event this Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. This event will take place simultaneously at both locations, each featuring their own fun activities. Please see below for additional information. Nassau County Animal Services Event: 86078 License Road, Fernandina Beach - Friends of Animals in Nassau & Cats Angels will be hosting a Ribbon Cutting for the new outdoor cat enclosure - Receive one raffle ticket for each bag or case of pet food donated to win a prize! - Free Face painting and more Nassau Humane Society Event: 639 Airport Road, Fernandina Beach - Free entry to dog park (must show proof of UTD Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella vaccines) - Receive one raffle ticket for each bag or case of pet food donated to win a prize! - Local vendors - Fun activities and more Admissions and parking for both events is free and will feature the above activities and refreshments. There will be many adoptable pets available with special pricing starting at $25 for dogs and $10 for cats. All pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped. -Sabrina Robertson County Manager's Office Friday, September 30 through Sunday, October 2, 2016, Petco Foundation and First Coast No More Homeless Pets hosted a mega-adoption event at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds. Pets from surrounding counties were brought to the event in hopes of finding them homes. We are happy to report that all 68 pets brought from Nassau County were adopted and a total of 719 pets were adopted overall. Great job to everyone involved, especially Nassau County Animal Services!
-Sabrina Robertson County Manager's Office ![]() First Coast No More Homeless Pets and the Petco Foundation are hosting their fall Mega Adoption Event Friday, September 30th through Sunday, October 2nd from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds. There will be over 1,000 adoptable pets available, including pets from Nassau County Animal Services. A $20 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, and city/county license. Come meet Bones (pictured left) and many other wonderful pets just like him that are looking for their forever homes! -Sabrina Robertson County Manager's Office ![]() Nassau County Animal Services is looking for volunteers to have Storm Sleepovers with pups from the shelter over the next few days in order to provide them with a safe and comfortable environment during the storm. No pup should have to ride out the storm alone so if you are interested, stop by and fill out the necessary paperwork and take a pup home over the weekend. Or if you fall in love, keep him forever! The shelter is located at 86078 License Road (across from Target) and pups can be picked up between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. today. Pets from the surrounding counties were brought to the event in hopes for adoption. A total of 723 peters were adopted. Of those 723, 64 were from Nassau County Animal Services. Great job to everyone involved!
Nassau County Animal Services will participate in another large scale adoption event hosted by the Jacksonville Humane Society and Petsmart from August 22-August 23, 2016. Adoption fees are 50% off and include spay/neutering, vaccines, and microchipping. To view animals currently available for adoption, please visit Nassau County Animal Services website.
