Welcome to beautiful Nassau County, located in the northeast corner of Florida along the Atlantic Ocean and Interstate 95. We are proud to serve as the Eastern Gateway to the Sunshine State. From our historic island, sandy beaches, and championship golf courses to our scenic rivers, green pastures, and majestic timberlands, we truly offer something for everyone.
8/28/17 @ 4:30 p.m. - Nassau County received an email this afternoon from Bryan Koon, Director for the Florida Division of Emergency Management, regarding early fundraising efforts related to Hurricane Harvey survivors. "Texas has yet to identify any needs at this point and has no ability to deal with donations they receive, no matter how well-intended. The best way to assist is through cash donations to a recognized charity". Here is a link to the National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster website where you can locate information on the Hurricane Harvey Response efforts, including links to make donations.
