Are you someone who loves gardening and is interested in becoming a Master Gardener Volunteer? The Nassau County Extension is seeking 15 people to participate in the next Master Gardener Volunteer Training Program. Master Gardeners serve their communities by answering gardening questions from local residents; participating in community and school garden projects; supporting youth activities, and more.
Master Gardener Volunteer training program is scheduled to begin on September 7th, 2023, and that will take place weekly via online, self-paced modules and one weekly in-person activity (more than likely Sunday or Mondays evenings) through October 21, 2023. To be considered for this year's program, you will need to do several things:
- Complete the online application form on Better Impact (our online volunteer management webpage): https://bttr.im/06xd7 by July 12th, 2023.
- Interviews will occur between August 7th – August 11th, online or in person.
- After notification of selection, a $150.00 (plus tax) registration fee is due, otherwise, your position will be forfeited to someone on the waiting list. Additional books for an additional fee will be available at registration for an additional fee.
If you have any questions, please contact the County Extension Office at (904) 530-6350 or e-mail Dr. Taylor Clem at [email protected].
