At the time of her presentation, 6,694 residents had received their first dose of the vaccine and 8,828 had completed their series with both doses. This brings the total vaccinated in Nassau County to 15,522. This data is updated daily at midnight and can be found on the State's website.
Another interesting detail Dr. Seidel shared is that Nassau County has vaccinated 64% of its population over age 65 and that Nassau County is currently the 5th highest in the State for vaccinations of this age group (out of all 67 counties). Great job to the Nassau County Health Department and Nassau County Emergency Management for all their diligent efforts in ensuring that those who want vaccine are able to get them! As a reminder, Nassau County is still following the Governor's Executive Order to administer the vaccine to residents 65 and older, front line health care workers, and assisted living communities. We have not received any information as to when the Governor will open the program up to additional age groups. One Nassau will continue to share information as it is made available to them from the State. If you have any questions, please contact Emergency Management at (904) 548-0900. -Sabrina Robertson Public Information Officer 2/17/21 @ 10:40 a.m. - As of Tuesday, February 16, 2021, 13,799 COVID-19 vaccinations have been administered in Nassau County. Of those, 7,230 have received their first dose and 6,569 have completed their vaccination series with two doses. This information is updated on the Florida Department of Health website daily. Below are a few photos taken at last Friday's vaccination event at the Yulee Gymnasium. Thank you again to OMNI for continuing to allow us to use their golf carts to transport residents to/from the parking area to the gymnasium. If you're in the targeted group (65 and older or front line health care worker) and you've signed up for the vaccination wait list, please be sure you are checking your email daily for an email from EventBrite notifying you that you've been selected and to claim your ticket. If you've already gone elsewhere to get your vaccination, please notify Emergency Management at (904) 548-0900 so they can remove your name from the list. -Sabrina Robertson Public Information Officer ![]() 2/16/21 @ 9:00 a.m. - The Health Department will host free drive through COVID-19 testing tomorrow from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the Journey Church. Shared by Nassau County Emergency Management: Since so many registrants did not respond to their email or phone call telling them they had made it off of the Vaccine Waitlist, our volunteers have called more than 2,000 people who registered on the 15th and 16th of January in order to fill the remaining appointments. (You might be surprised by how many have already been vaccinated elsewhere, but neglected to remove themselves from our Waitlist.) Now we are seeing people with appointments we've scheduled adding themselves back onto our Waitlist. 😟 The OneNassau Vaccine Waitlist is for FIRST DOSES ONLY. SECOND doses are scheduled during the first dose vaccination appointment - a written Vaccination Card is provided and each person vaccinated is told, "return to the same location at the same time on XXXX date." ![]() 2/9/21 @ 10:15 a.m. - The Nassau County Department of Health will host drive-through COVID-19 testing on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at the Journey Church. On Friday, January 29, 2021, Nassau County conducted another large scale vaccination event in which 616 received their COVID-19 vaccination at the Yulee Gymnasium. All remaining doses are being administered through appointments at the Nassau County Department of Health and/or Closed Points of Dispensing (PODs) and those are expected to be completed by tomorrow.

The State supplied 975 additional vaccines late last week and a randomized drawing from names on the wait list was done early this morning at 7:30 am. If you are registered through OneNassau utilizing the EventBrite system, please check your email to see if you have received anything. You will use this email to "claim your ticket" and will then be directed to contact Emergency Management at (904) 548-0900 to schedule your appointment.
